1994 Italy's World Cup Jersey

Italy 1994 jersey is launched at Bestsoccerstore. This 1994 Italy jersey has a reputation for fun colors and designs, but it represents so much more.

By the early 1990s, the Italian national team had reached a turning point. While it was an undeniably positive performance, the hosts were disappointed by a third-place finish for Italy in '90, who struggled to recover and failed to qualify for the 1992 European Championships. The crisis on the pitch has sparked perhaps the most significant change for the Azzurri in more than a decade. That summer, the Italian Football Federation unveiled a new logo, a somewhat contrived design consisting of a sloping rectangle and circle that awkwardly formed a lowercase "I," although for most observers the device was almost invisible. The new badge debuted in the summer of 1992 with the new Diadora jersey, and the design was further refined for the 1994 World Cup. Arrigo Sacchi's Italy team first donned the new 1994 Italy jersey in their match against Scotland in Rome in late 1993. While still the same Azzurri blue as ever, the new logo is now interwoven with the fabric itself, creating a bizarre blue-on-blue oversized polka dot effect.

Gone is the classic three-color stripe trim that has been used on the collar and cuffs since Italy's World Cup victory in 1982. In its place is a series of green-white-red triangles, further evidence of Diadora's newfound understanding of geometry on the 1994 World cup Italy jersey. In early versions of the jersey, the triple triangle pattern even appeared on the jersey number, which is probably the biggest difference between all the jerseys. The 3D characters of this Italy world cup jersey 1994 that had been commonplace for most of this decade were ditched in favor of rounded italic designs. The Danish national team has used a similar font for some time, but in the case of Italy, it has a dark grey shade. The Italy 1994 world cup jersey did attract attention when it was released, although it was quickly recognized, especially due to Italy's memorable tournament in the United States.
